Gear Review Hey Oh!

My latest and greatest for getting your sweat on

have a massive obsession with fitness gear, so hold on tight for this review… I could not be more pumped! Let’s take Drake’s lead and start from the bottom:

Adidas Energy Boost 2.0 ATR Sneakers

Adidas and I have had quite the tumultuous relationship due to some rather unpleasant experiences in college (aka stress fractures), but these shoes redeemed the brand for me. A fluke purchase for a trip I was going to take to China turned into the best running shoes I have found in years. They also get bonus points for the different color and style options, especially for the ladies who’s shoes always seem to hover in the pink and purple family. (Shown above)

Nike Dri-FIT Half-Cushion No-Show Socks

I just cannot get myself to workout in white socks anymore. Maybe it’s the fact that I can’t keep them white or that I feel like I should be at Wimbledon sporting a tennis skirt… they just aren’t my jam anymore. These socks are great, they don’t slide down in your shoes, they are thick but not too thick that your feet sweat to death and the black color changes the game.

Nike Strut Crop Women’s Running Tights

I am a fan of the standard Lulu running tight as much as the next person, but Nike running tights make me feel a little something extra. No crotch tugging necessary, they stay in place no slipping or riding up. On top of being stellar performance wise, they are a refreshing step outside of the Lulu box.

Adidas Women‘s TechFit 4 Shorts

A college track throwback in the truest form. I lived in them for my whole college career, and I am happy to say nothing has changed. These babies are classics.

Adidas Performance Cess Bra

Classic, stylish, light weight with just the right amount of support. Not much else needs to be said.

Under Armour Heatgear Alpha Sports Bra

I know there are two bras on the list, I just couldn’t leave this one off, it is too darn comfortable.

H&M by Alexander Wang White Tank

Unfortunately, it’s not for sale anymore, but it needed it’s moment of glory. Oversized, breathable, soft and stays white no matter how many times it’s washed. Thank you Alex Wang and thank you Caroline Rooney for waiting in line to snatch this baby up for me. Best friend award right there!

Outdoor Voices Catch Me If You Can Hoodie

Not only is this brand the brainchild of a friend of mine in NYC, it’s the best basic around. Every time I wear it, at least one person asks me where it is from. It’s super soft while also breathable enough to get your sweat on and not feel claustrophobic.

GapFit gStride Running Hat

I am not a huge fan of running with sunglasses, this hat is the perfect fix. Blocks the sun while making you look like a serious runner even if you’re a novice like me.

Wish List Item: Apple Watch

Definitely the trendiest item on the list but I can’t help it I’m in love. A sales associate walked me through a demo and I knew I had to have it! Birthday present anyone?

If you haven‘t caught on, Black and White are my got to‘s in the fitness apparel world. Maybe it‘s the inner mixie child in me making a stand, whatever it is I just cannot get away from these basic hues.
