When I say ‘Natural Body Favorites,’ I am talking about products that use to take care of my body, as well as help me recover from physical and emotional stressors. They are products that help relax and comfort at the end of a long day. If you’ve read my blog before, you know the products I enjoy most are hippy dippy and a little weird, but I promise they work!
Dr. Hauschka Birch Arnica Energizing Body Oil – Starting with products that help the body recover quickly and efficiently. If you ever experience muscle pain, remember one word, Arnica. Arnica is in the sunflower family, and when it’s oil is applied topically, it relieve muscle pain and aid in recovery.
Tata Harper Muscle Gel – This muscle gel is an all natural duplicate for Icy Hot. While one of the ingredients is Arnica, it’s the other ingredients that provide a soothing, cool, tingling feeling similar to Icy Hot. It’s a perfect natural remedy for sore muscles, cooling and healing at the same time.
Truth Vegan BCAA – Branched-Chain Amino Acids otherwise known as BCAA’s, are a supplement that helps stimulate muscle regeneration, protein intake and lean muscle mass generation. BCAA’s are essential amino acids, meaning they are necessary for the body, but are not natural produced in the body. I don’t love the taste of them, so I dilute them in a smoothie or juice drink pre or post workout.
Naked Pea Protein – I prefer to get my protein from whole foods, but on days that I don’t have time to cook this protein powder is my absolute favorite. Throw a heaping scoop into a smoothie or blend in coffee with coconut milk and cinnamon.
Saje Peppermint Halo – Transitioning to the hippy dippy stuff (my favorite)! I was recently introduced to the Canadian based company Saje, they specializes in essential oil and natural wellness. For someone who uses essential oils for everything, it’s a match made in heaven. That said, when I have a headache, before I reach for Tylenol, I reach for Saje’s Peppermint Halo. Made of peppermint, rosemary and lavender. Apply directly to the hairline and shoulders for an immediate cooling, relaxing and pain relieving remedy.
Saje Gutzy – Same goes for tummy aches, the Gutzy oil does wonders on a sour stomach. Roll a solid amount into the palms of hands and massage onto the belly, repeat 3 times for best results. This oil is made of fennel, peppermint and chamomile.
Aesop Ginger Flight Therapy – This is my go to remedy for tension and yep it’s another essential oil blend. Made of ginger root, lavender and geranium, roll onto pressure points or into palms and inhale aromas. It’s relaxation, relief and comfort in a roller ball.
